Why do you need a middleman for a farmer to sell tomatoes to someone who wants to buy them?
That question started Flashmob Market. And the answer is simple: you don't.
Flashmob Market was created by Remeny Farm Kft. in 2024. We weren't in a startup incubator. We didn't get venture capital. We were an agricultural business that experienced how hard it is to sell directly — and refused to accept it.
We built on the Finnish REKO model: a system where buyers order a producer's products online and pick them up at a designated location. No stall, no commission, no middleman. Just the producer and the buyer.
The model has been working in Finland for years — with over 300,000 active users. We said: if it works there, why not in Hungary?
Everyone asks this — and rightly so. The answer:
Flashmob Market is free for producers and buyers because we're building a long-term community, not short-term profit.
Remeny Farm Kft. maintains the platform. We cover costs from our own agricultural activities. Producers pay no commission, buyers pay no platform fee.
This isn't charity — it's strategy. The more producers and buyers use the system, the stronger the community. And a strong local food community is good for everyone: producers, buyers, and us.
If we ever introduce a revenue model, it will always serve the interests of producers and buyers — and we'll communicate it in advance. No fine print. No surprises.
REKO (Rejäl Konsumtion — "fair consumption") is a Finnish initiative that started in 2013. The concept is simple:
In Finland, this model reaches over 300,000 active users and is one of the country's most popular direct sales channels. Flashmob Market brought this model to Hungary — digitized and automated, but keeping the core principle.
A Villámpiac kreatívan ötvözi az online szupermarketek rugalmasságát és kényelmét azzal a közvetlen vásárló-gazda kapcsolattal, ami leginkább a közösségi gazdaságok és a helyi piacok sajátja.
You know who produced it, where it comes from, what others say about it. Flashmob Market doesn't hide information — quite the opposite.
Producer and buyer communicate directly. No customer service standing between them. If you have a question for the beekeeper, you ask them directly.
We don't take from the producer's revenue. We don't charge the buyer. Flashmob Market is infrastructure — not a trader.
We're not trying to cover the whole country tomorrow. We build location by location, and everywhere we build on the local community.
